The food is delightful! You can't go wrong with a fantastic southern meal, regardless of your choice.

My family and I dined here today, July 21, 2024, and we had a fantastic lunch. If you get the opportunity to visit, the crab cakes and chicken fried steak are absolutely must-tries! Our server, Shana, was excellent; she took great care of us and made sure our drinks were always filled in this Texas heat! My 11-year-old insists that we need to come back once a week!

I have mixed feelings about the atmosphere. On one hand, it felt cozy and the attentive server was a definite plus. However, we were subjected to a different server who spent our entire meal loudly complaining and gossiping. I even overheard her use the N-word three times, which was extremely inappropriate. Additionally, while I waited outside for my girlfriend who was shopping in the small store attached to the restaurant, I noticed this same server sitting right outside the front door, smoking a cigarette and continuing her unprofessional rant about work, filled with profanity. Overall, this experience was quite disappointing, and we will not be returning to this establishment.

We had BLTs and they were great! Will be back. Heard they have margaritas and will try them next.

Good food. Great little place to get a bite. Go downtown and get some. The gumbo is great.
