We’ve been looking for an authentic Hunan restaurant and found this on google maps. We were very pleased with the quality and flavors of all our dishes. They offer your choice of spicy levels yet you still get the tingly sensation of the sichuan peppers. Comparable to Hunan impression with better value and shorter wait time. This will be our new go to restaurant next time we crave Hunan food.
Very authentic and tasty Hunan food. Best in the Bay Area. The owner is very caring and nice. Highly recommend. If you can’t eat spicy food, definitely let the owner know so that they can adjust the spice level.
As someone born and raised in Hunan I wanna say this restaurant is super delicious!Extremely authentic!!
I ordered the sizzling fish and basic with string beans and egg plant. The ingredients were very very fresh and perfectly flavorful. Out of habit, being a pescatarian, I seek out the taste of old fish and won't go back to any restaurant that serves me rotting fish or fishy' fish. The fish was really fresh here and they cooked it to perfection maintaining moisture without the rubbery texture of overcooked fish.Dishes were not greasy at all or overly salty like cheap Chinese food usually is.The best part was the fish dish was about $15 and there was so much fish! I was expecting just a few pieces of fish but there were more than a dozen large pieces. I got more than my fill on protein and had plenty leftovers to take homeAmbiance is upscale but owned and ran by a family with a really sweet and attentive Chinese woman manning the fort.
