El Eden - San Cristóbal de las Casas

This is one of our favorite special events San Cristóbal for years. It is a bit splurgical, but it is worthwhile for the ambience and food quality/selections. Unfortunately, at this time of Covid, it closes at 17:00 so we limited to lunch instead of a romantic dinner next to the fireplace. In the beautiful and bright dining areas or at a table in the beautiful plant-filled terrace you can decide to sit inside. The margaritas are really huge and delicious. The Puntas de filete suizas with a mushroom cream sauce and potato pancakes are a multi-year favorite, like the fillet with blue cheese sauce. There are also Mexican/Chiapas choices, but the Swiss elections make a nice break. Rich desserts offer a really tasty end to a fine meal. We usually take out what we can't finish to enjoy later in the night It was such a relief to be welcomed by the same attentive and friendly waiter who was always there. The only element missing Chip Morris, eating and reading from his favorite dining table. RIP, chip.

Deliciosos desayunos acompañados por increíbles mermeladas papaya y guava casera. También recomiendo fondues. Excelente atención de Paco.

Me encanta ir a los desayunos, hay variedad y lo mejor es el ambiente por el jardíncito que manejan y es agradable poder disfrutar un cafecito relajante. Los meseros son muy amables y atentos.

Aquí comí mi último día en San Cristobal, la comida estaba deliciosa. La sopa azteca y el tamal chiapaneco se llevaron mi corazón. Lastima que solo fui el ultimo día.
