There are TVs at the bar along with seating options. **Food:** I didn't want to overeat before the symphony, so I decided to share a meal with my fiancée. We ordered the Fish and Chips, which came with four moderate-sized pieces of fried cod (I believe) accompanied by coleslaw and fries that I upgraded to Aspen Fries with white truffle oil. Unfortunately, the fish was bland and the breading felt heavy. On the bright side, the fries were excellent—seasoned perfectly with a great crunch and just the right amount of white truffle oil. My brother ordered the chicken quesadilla, which was nothing special and came with regular fries that reminded me of Taco Bell’s version. The fries were just okay, and the salsa tasted watered down. **Drinks:** I had a house vodka (Seagram’s) with freshly squeezed lemon, which was a generous pour. The Moscow Mule was $6, the pint of Sculpin was $6, and the drink prices felt a bit high for a café. **Service:** The service was friendly and moderately attentive. **Overall:** The experience was just okay. This place is decent enough if there are no other options within a few blocks, but the drinks seemed pricey for a café and the food was just mediocre. I probably won’t return unless it’s my last resort in the area.
I've visited this restaurant a few times for lunch, and honestly, it's been a bit disappointing. Most recently, I tried their 6th B Burger. We placed our order in advance due to time constraints, and it arrived just as we sat down. However, it seemed like the order had been prepared long before our reservation, as my burger was cold and the cheese had already hardened. Additionally, the burger was lacking in flavor, cooked medium-well to well, even though I specifically requested medium-rare. It’s unfortunate because I had been looking forward to indulging in a burger this week and saved my appetite for this place. Overall, the experience left me feeling underwhelmed and even caused me some painful acid reflux that just wasn't worth it.
We visited for lunch and shared the Tuna Melt Sandwich, which was undoubtedly one of the best we’ve ever had. The white albacore tuna salad was deliciously combined with melted Swiss and American cheeses, all nestled between soft yet crispy sourdough bread. The French fries were light, crispy, and utterly tasty. With an extensive menu that includes a variety of pastries, breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, we’re definitely looking forward to returning to try more dishes. However, it might be hard to resist ordering another melt-in-your-mouth tuna melt!
Camilla the Yelping Hen digs this place for odd reasons. She loves that she feels so young and like a chick on symphony nights when the older generation hits this place up, and she thinks they have about the most squishy carpet out there. I like brunch here best. They always have coupons which is sweet. They also tend to have nice servers. For brunch my eggs were cooked well with nary a runny one in sight. Camilla's and BCBPs **** Mary's were strong and had the zing of veggies that in their minds helps them argue that it is actually a health drink. Seriously, try arguing with them about it... At night during the symphony it has a decidedly older crowd that provides some excellent people watching. I was surprised the little bar area filled up so fast! Also they have a truly legit Stella set up with a magic ice tap and proper glasses. Check out their coupons in that little savings mag that comes in the mail and save some money as you dine. I suggest brunch for the drink specials!
Went there for brunch with my daughter. We got seated quickly and was given menus. A regular menu for me and a kids menu along with a cup of crayons for my daughter. We sat in the patio area and ordered our drinks and food. The place wasn't crowded at all. We must have gotten there after the rush. Our server was friendly and sweet and made friendly conversation. We ordered pineapple Juice for my daughter that was freshly made and a Coke for me. Then we ordered chicken and waffles for my daughter and a steak and eggs for me. Our food came to our table and it looked very delicious. My daughter loved her chicken and waffles that came with scrambled eggs and I love my steak and eggs that came with a side of potatoes. We had a great time there eating and people watching. We will be back when we are in the area.
