The positivity, character, and charm is so amazingly palpable.Very friendly and helped me choose their top picks for the BBQ sampler since I was a first timer. Holy smokes you have to get the sampler!Also the back seating area is so cool, lots of shaded areas, the breeze was perfect even on a hot day, and several of the staff walked by making sure I was enjoying my food. Playing Stevie Wonder on the speakers made me feel at home.This place will always have my business, and I will tell everyone they have to not only eat the amazing food, but help promote this amazing business.

Kenny “Bowlegs”, owner of Bowlegged BBQ was a fantastic host. His staff was efficient and quick. Only 11 minutes from the airport, my husband and I drove straight to his restaurant with only minutes to spare. Not only were warmly greeted, he served us great baby back ribs, potato salad and collard greens. In the rear of his restaurant, it has a cigar lounge, tables with tents and gazebos for shade. The atmosphere was comforting and pleasant. Great place to hang out, enjoy music and sports, as it is a neighborhood staple. Reasonably priced.Wheelchair accessibility: Enter from the rear door.

I had the best time with two of my friends celebrating her birthday. They danced and sang for for her birthday brought out a slice of delicious cake! Great music, spectacular service, plus we came out with gifts from the owner and a round of shot as a toast to try. A great place to eat, listen to music, and if you like to smoke a cigar they have there own private area. Everyone was friendly with whomever waked in the patio. I will definitely come back!!!

I was watching a local YouTuber who recommended this restaurant, and I’m so glad we decided to check it out. It was absolutely DELICIOUS! We ordered the sampler platter, which included brisket, ribs, and sausage, along with sides of mac and cheese and coleslaw. Everything was fantastic! The coleslaw had a nice kick to it, which I really enjoyed, and the mac and cheese was spot on. The ribs were wonderfully tender. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was laid-back and inviting. The sampler platter was just right for two people to share.

The atmosphere, food, and ambiance are fantastic. The new cigar lounge is impressive and enhances the wonderful vibe of the outdoor dining area. On top of that, the barbecue here is undoubtedly the best in San Diego County! I highly recommend this place for singles, families, locals, and tourists alike. It's a great opportunity to experience the vibrant Black community in San Diego.
