All around warm, friendly and yummy visit! We stumbled in on a rainy day after visiting the New Children's Museum. We were tired and a bit hangry. Everyone was so kind and quickly got us settled with warm drinks. The chili was absolutely delicious! The 4 year old LOVED her Strawberry Short Cake. It was such a nice touch that they cut the pancakes up for her so they were ready to eat when they arrived at the table. Our server was the nicest gentleman! Thank you!
They were able to get out party of 8 in fairly quickly, and sitting outside was good, they had very warm heaters pointing at us, so we were never chilly. (In december) food kinda average for a breakfast place. It was an upcharge to get eggs and meat added though. That was kinda a bummer.
We visited this café on the the recommendation of The Best Thing I Ever Ate on the Food Network. Bobby Flay suggested the Peanut Butter and Banana French Toast. He was not wrong! The French toast was the best thing I've ever ate! You could takes the peanut butter and banana in every bite! Certainly was worth the effort to get there.
Over-hyped breakfast location. Wasn't worth the wait IMO.
