Daddy's Hot Dogs Food Stand - San Diego

I ordered The Beast, but it didn't live up to its name. Honestly, my bacon-wrapped hot dogs from the corners of Gas Lamp are better than this. Food rating: 3/5.

Although it's surrounded by countless dining options along University Avenue, don’t overlook this gem. The hot dogs here are simply outstanding, handcrafted and made fresh right before your eyes. The bun is lightly toasted, the hot dog is cooked to perfection, and the toppings are incredibly fresh. Pictured are the Game **** (top) and the Seattle Dog (bottom). The prices are reasonable, and I would definitely recommend it to others—I can’t wait to come back for more!

Delicious made to order dogs! Dady is very friendly and helpful. There is no inside, the serving window is on the sidewalk, but there are some standing tables if you want to eat there.Food: 5/5

It's funny how some people complain about hours, but it says outside that they chose their hours. The hot dogs are phenomenal, the amazing man who sells them even better!

So I’ve been scavenger hunting for the best hot dog in town for a while. This is the place! “Daddy” brings that east coast hot dog flavor with some wisdom. The Manhattan with cooked sauerkraut and no onions is a jewel. Also tried the “O” as found in the picture and it’s something to come back for. My wife can vouch for me, this is the best hot dog in SD. Yes Daddy!
