Farmer's Table Bay Park - San Diego

Nice ambiance and unique decor. Staff a bit too hyper but attentive. Food was bland, pasta not warm and filet mignon $40) served well done but corrected with a requested new plate to med rare. Full dining room and patio festive but a bit too noisy for date talking with no acoustical buffers in the interior design.

We made a last minute reservation on NYE and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and service! We sat on the patio but with the heaters were never cold. The food was outstanding and the service was flawless! We couldn't have chosen a better place!

Been here for a light lunch with my mom and enjoyed. We decided to come back for xmas dinner with my husband. Let's start off with the positives which is most of this review: xmas dinner was a set course, overall good. However the calamari was not fried all that well and the lobster bisque was watered down. Pasta is made in house and delicious! Mozzarella appetizers was insanely good. Servers are awesome and friendly. The interior is cute, but chairs and tables are not high eneld quality and in my opinion are on the cheap side and kind of brings esthetic down. Also bathrooms needed a little freshening up.

We have had a really good time and enjoyed la pastaia in the past. We have had one of our best date nights here. We went on Christmas eve for thr prix fixe menu. Our server was very good and did his best. I could tell they were short staffed. Two appetizers came out cold. The bread came late. This is a food runner problem. The lobster bisque- there was no lobster. There were only 4 of us and we made the best of it, but we're very disappointed in the food quality vs cost.

We had friends from Santa Barbara visiting and took them to dinner. Food was outstanding as well as the world class service. I had Chilean sea bass others had pasta dishes. Truly fantastic! We are so happy to have this jewel in our Bay Park neighborhood.
