At the rande of rolando, far from the sparkling and trendy at costly locations, the chef coral strong draws from san diegos floor and presents its treasures in their naked beauty and get sharp. no court records this as well as the kitchen sink 16). on the menu it is a meat and cheese plate- but I rolled the cube on corals veganization and won a bonanza. the cereal cheese was replaced by lush sunflower seeds and a lemon and goat spiced cashew cheese. beside spicy pickled beet strain (a srumptious no-waste solution,) strawberries, bromberries, crunchy tomatoes, avocado, gherkins, radishes, pickled organic, curry hummus, earthberry shimmers, shrubbing but the pot in which I wanted to drown was the sweet and earthy fennel carrot marmalade. assumed, all vegan variations of this shurdle provide this level of quality and innovatiw, I would say that this is the must order article in this restaurant. beyond the thoughtful vegan options, garden kitchen stands as my ideal restaurant. building a space without pretension - a renovated house terrace with brandy and warm lamps and the occasional wade of a baby next to the door made to house-own-head corals annunciation screams sincere. she takes every table in the heart, serves her talented without ego and allows her staff to funnel the kitchens through attentive service and culinary accommodation. it kills me to think that there are people missing from this restaurant, just because of its location. but at a random week night the house appears full enough to smile on the cook corals face and my table full of weeping and surprise vegan dishes about what the menu promises. If I had the medium, I would eat here regularly. but until then, I steer as many as I can come to rolando for what is really a taste of san diego.
Garden Kitchen is the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine and indulge in deliciously complex yet simple vegan dishes. It truly captures the essence of 'Farm to Table' dining with a vegan option available for each course. Whether you're looking for a romantic 4-course meal or a quick bite, the vegan 'Kitchen Sink' offers an array of homemade delights like pickles, marmalades, cashew cheeses, hummus, pestos, and fresh fruits. And don't forget to save room for dessert, as it is a must-try at Garden Kitchen.
Wonderful food that elevates cooking to an art. One of the best meals we have eaten in San Diego. The kitchen knows how to bring out the very best in these quality ingredients. Definitely recommended.
Garden Kitchen is a hidden gem. If you're looking for a local San Diego restaurant and chef that places an emphasis on quality fresh locally sourced ingredients and dishes that have amazing flavor, look no further. Their menu changes daily and they also make everything from scratch. Chef Coral Fodor Strong and her staff make you feel like family because they truly are passionate and care about your dining experience. You won't be dissapointed.
