We decided to give Louisiana purchase a try for a friends night out dinner. The restaurant was well designed and trendy . We started with appetizers of crispy cauliflower and boudin, Both were very good. For dinner our table ordered the fried catfish, Mac n cheese, fried chicken and Gumbo yay a. Everything was well prepared, presented and delicious. We will definitely come back to try the other dishes.
LP is hands down my favorite restaurant in SD now! The service was outstanding and the food is even better!
It was our first time there — Wow! We were pleasantly surprised. The space is cool with a nice vibe and the menu is interesting. The food is super tasty and the service was attentive but not smothering. We are definitely going back!
We’ve been wanting to try LP for a few months now and glad we did! Overall we enjoyed it! The cauliflower was great! The balls were delish they’re like bouisin ? meatballs with a delish sauce-appetizer . The sazerac and old fashioned were a little sweet but still great for $7. I had the rib eye which was probably the best meal on the table. The oysters were a bit salty to my liking. Very rich. Also tried the fried chicken with a sweet and spicy sauce, very tasty. The jumbilaya pasta special had a super heavy tomato base for the sauce so wasn’t that great. Overall would def come back and order the ribeye again. I loved the music a lot of Sinatra covers but bring a jacket! Oh and very disappointed they did nothing at all for my husbands 50th birthday! I mentioned a few times and not even a plate that said happy birthday in Hershey’s chocolate syrup but, whatevs! Lol! 4 people, 7 drinks, 2 apps, 4 entrees, our bill was $230 w|o tip.
