I ordered the Spicy Pork Shoulder Ramen along with a Fried Calamari appetizer, and I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of the calamari. I left feeling completely satisfied. The ramen was incredibly delicious, bursting with flavor. I always make it a point to visit whenever I'm in San Diego.
This was my first time trying ramen, and I will definitely have it again. I ordered the short ribs.
Avoid this place during peak hours; it gets way too busy. That said, I visit San Diego about once a year, and eating here is my main highlight—more than anything else! This is the best ramen I’ve had since being in Japan (Hironori is my second favorite). I have to admit, their chashu isn’t great. However, the broth and noodles are absolutely fantastic. The noodles are incredibly chewy; they don’t just serve as a base for other ingredients, they truly stand out on their own. The broth becomes richer over time, with garlic crisps, pork fat, and green onions blending beautifully into it. I'm craving it just thinking about it! You have to try this place and go for the classic tonkotsu ramen. Trust me. I tried the chicken ramen on my first visit, and it just wasn't worth it.
Busy, tasty ramen spot. Parking lot is very busy better to park on the street. Food is very good, prices reasonable.
I'll go back anytime, we all love everything at this restaurant, it's yummy.
