I witnessed a 7-foot tall man named Jon devour 10 fried cheese balls the size of baseballs at this place. The music was great as well!

The staff here is consistently friendly, authentic, and laid-back. We always feel welcomed when we arrive. The menu is just right for a cozy pub. The Double Royale is the best cheeseburger I've ever had; it's perfectly sized with two patties, cheese, and all the toppings. The beef and cheddar melt is also incredibly delicious, especially when paired with a side of their garlic parmesan fries—one order is definitely enough to share!

The service here on a Friday night was terrible. One of the bartenders was high or drunk or both and kept taking orders and not following through. I gave it 3 stars because, as a native Chicagoan, the Chicago dog was shockingly close to a genuine Chicago dog. If you are a midwesterner missing your fav hot dog, this is a great option!

My first visit since they rolled out the new food menu. The hot and spicy crispy chicken sandwich was excellent and a great sized sandwich for lunch.The Bartender was friendly, knowledgeable, and created a welcoming environment.

This is the quintessential Chicago-style dive bar. Grab a shot of malort and enjoy yourself!
