This place has generally been among my go-tos for craving Lao food, and the meals are usually delicious with reasonable prices. I love that they offer premade hot dishes for takeout, as well as nostalgic Lao snacks that remind me of my childhood. The Lao beef jerky, sausages, pork rinds, and jeow with sticky rice are all fantastic. I also recently tried their freshly made Chinese donuts, which were the best I’ve ever had—they sold out quickly, too!
Everything was full of flavor; my husband loved it, remarking on the rich umami taste. If I could suggest one thing, it would be to ease up on the salt and MSG, but that’s just my preference! We also picked up some kiep moo (pork ears) from the ready-to-eat section. They were the thin, crunchy variety—well-seasoned and not overly tough. I’m definitely giving this place a 10/10 and plan to buy all the bags next time!
Authentic, delicious and generous offerings of Laotian and Thai classics. Service was prompt and polite. Waiter/co-owner(? Mike was knowledgeable, personable, and efficient. We've traveled all over the Orient, love Thai and Laotian cuisine, and willadd this to our list of favorite local restaurants. Fine dining, it's not--authentic Thai/Laotian, in generous proportions atvery reasonable prices, it is! Give it a try--you'll like it!! Otherwise, stick to Mc'y D's
My only piece of advice is that if you're planning to dine in, it's best to arrive at least an hour and a half before closing time. On one occasion, we arrived just an hour before closing, and the owner informed us that they were only accepting takeout orders, with the last call for dine-in at 6:45. It was disappointing to learn this, especially since I wasn't aware of it beforehand. However, this minor inconvenience doesn't deter me from coming back because the food is simply amazing!
This is our favorite Thai restaurant! We've dined here multiple times, and it has truly become our go-to place for Thai cuisine. Honestly, I don't think I've ever had a bad meal. While their Tom Kah is delicious, it tends to be on the sweeter side. One of our favorites is definitely the Drunken Noodles.
