Fresh donuts, great smoothies, fresh pressed juices and huge breakfast croissants. Open 24 hours so anytime is a good time for donuts.
Came here twice this week to the open 24 hours donut shop. Open signs lit, door locked, nobody around. No note, no closed until..., nothing.
Had the cherry filled, sugar coated donut. Tasty, light, and very cherry...friendly staff, and abundant product... always my go to donut shop, wether here, or Santa Barbara...thanks Winchell's.
I didn?t get to even try a doughnut?the worker wouldn?t let me in. The door was locked when I arrived around 5:45 PM. The open sign was lit, so I decided to wait. I thought maybe the worker might be using the restroom or taking a quick break. After aboutten minutes, I saw someone in the back with EarPods talking. I decided to continue waiting outside. I know a lot ofestablishments are short-staffed right now, and maybe the guy had to take an important call. As someone visiting San Diego, Iwanted to patron a local business. Another five or so minutes go by, and I'm finally able to get the worker?s attention. Hesignals back making it clear he won?t let me in. I take a picture of the doughnuts and leave. I can absolutely understandneeding to close a 24hr establishment for a couple of minutes or even an hour or two?just communicate this with potentialcustomers. Turn off your ?open? sign and put a note on the door to the likes of ?Reopening at 8 PM? or ?We're closed for theday. Sorry for the inconvenience.? It?s not a good practice to have people waiting outside your business and just shoo them offinstead of serving them.
