Wait staff most accommodating to our particular needs.
So nice to find an old school classy restaurant with tablecloths, terrific food and service without deafening music and loud tables. Definitely a date night destination we drove from Pasadena and it was well worth it.
The ambiance is lively and historically interesting. Go on a Friday or Saturday night when the historical society is open. Food was good, not great. French fries were excellent. Soup was just above room temperature. Burger good quality. Salad tomatoes tasted old, and I thought the dressing was too sweet. Service was fair. Waitress very pleasant, but not super attentive. When we asked for the bill, she brought it fairly quickly, but didn’t come back to our table to pick it up so we could get to our movie. Definitely will return more for the setting than the meal, but taken as the total package, it was well worth the cost of admission. ... so to speak.
Our order was t quite right but in all fairness we never told them, so that’s on us! I love the ambiance!
