It’s a bit pricey, we were £140 for two and didn’t have huge amounts, but what we did have was great. I have to shout out the grilled octopus was 10/10, taste and texture was amazing.
I don't know if this restaurant is resting on its historical laurels, I was so shocked at the food, service and interior. Our food arrived cold, one of our party (who has been a regular customer for 40 years) had their order forgotten and received their food 15 minutes after the rest of us. The shrimp that my husband had had obviously previously been frozen. Our fish and chips were sub par, under seasoned and I have had better from far less ostensibly salubrious places and it wasn't fresh, the batter tasted old and the chips as if they had been sat around a long time. I thought that it was someone else's order they hadn't wanted! As we were guests of someone, none of us wanted to/or did complain, but we were also disappointed with the service, the gentleman who served us was rude, put out by every request and made us feel as if we were troubling him by being there. The youngest member of the group wasn't very hungry and I asked the waiter how big the portions were as I thought she and I could share, he was so rude about it and annoyed that I was potentially not going to order two full meals. It was also freezing cold where we were sitting inside which was harder for older diners.
Always have a great time here. Everything on the menu is good, you can’t miss.
Great place to watch games. Food was delicious and the drinks were great! Caesar was great!
The place is an institution and we found it up to its reputation. The service was good, even if is was slow a the beginning due to the mass of clients. The food was excellent. The prices were on the high side.
