The Public Izakaya - San Francisc

I work a few buildings away and as a bar we always tell people to go here as well as frequent the place ourselves, food is really good. I went there last night with my husband and ordered our food and for some unknown reason there was an issue with his cards at payment, apple pay ended up working just fine and tipped in cash but the server (guy with glasses) thought it was okay to become very rude and start yelling at us; not sure if he thought we weren't going to pay or just had no patience in the situation but I don't think I'll be going there again. Last time we even told them they gave us the wrong check which was much less because we knew we would be back and thought it was important to be honest. But any patron should not be treated like that. Sucks cuz the food is good but service makes the experience.

Vegetarian options are only available for appetizers ! They are so worth it!! Open till 2am!! Must try Purple potato fries Vegetable tempura

Really fun, yummy snack/tapas! Pretty good! Get the draft beer!

Brutal fried rice! Very generous amount of food. We entered by chance and left delighted
