The coffee was so hot that even after waiting and placing ice in the cup, the rim remained extremely hot to the touch and could have burned my lips. I think it's a bit ridiculous to serve hot coffee in a copper mug.
This was our fourth visit to the restaurant. Unfortunately, this time the pizza was mediocre and seemed rushed, with dough that was thick and not crispy, and a vegan sauce that was lacking. Our table had three pizzas, one with good and crispy dough, one that was burned, and one that was average. The pasta dishes received mixed reviews, but the desserts were very good. Despite arriving early, the restaurant was very noisy on this Saturday night, making it difficult to hear each other. However, we still love the ambiance and hope for better food on our next visit.
My partner and I have visited this restaurant a few times and we absolutely love it. It is one of the few places in the city where you can enjoy a refined vegan dining experience. The food and cocktails are fantastic, even though only my partner is vegan - as a meat eater, I also thoroughly enjoy the offerings. Unfortunately, the service is quite slow. It appears that they struggle to keep up with the influx of customers from the Opera House and Symphony Hall. This negatively impacts the overall dining experience, as both the bartenders and waitstaff seem overwhelmed. We ended up sitting at our table for nearly 10 minutes without any water or server in sight. I hate to complain, but this issue is what separates a good experience from an outstanding one. Despite this, we will definitely be returning in the future.
Great food for Vegans, or if you're like me, enjoy and appreciate Vegan food! The Sausage on the pizza could have been a little more firm. Wash a little mushy so when you bite into the pizza taste like a lot of sauce- BUT still tasted great and ate it all! :
BAIA was a great start to our evening! We dined before a show, and the hostess and server acknowledged our time constraint and assured we were out before our desired timing. Food was delicious, great gluten free options. Service was excellent I dropped my napkin on the floor and as I was leaning down to pick it up, I was promptly presented with a new one. Lovely ambience and options for all guests. Meatball appetizer is a must!
