Balompie - San Francisco

I visited this restaurant for Father's Day, and while the food was enjoyable, the service left much to be desired. The waitress didn’t offer drinks or chips while we were waiting in the patio area, which was disappointing. The restaurant wasn't very busy, so we had expected quicker service.

Having lived in San Francisco my entire life and having eaten at every salvadorian restaurant for the last half century, I have to tell you hands down these are the very very best pupusa's in San Francisco. The staff is very helpful always especially when you are on the phone ordering something for take out. The owner makes sure that everyone is made welcome by the entire staff. During the pandemic I believe they made some remodeling upgrades which makes it even nicer and yes there is a parklet outside for outside dining. They have the most delicious orchard I like it by the pint. Thank you to the amazing staff. Muchisimas gracias

The food at Balompie is absolutely delicious, featuring distinct flavors and perfect textures. Once you try their pupusas, you may find it hard to enjoy any others. The staff is also incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Screamin' Pupusas! Hard to find better in S.F. My first time there, but not my last. Especially if I have more time, they are busy and I should have pre-ordered. I would love to kick back and eat there, and bring some friends so we can share each other's food, because there are so many delicious items on the menu.

Very good pupusas and delicious tres lèches cake, our waitress and everyone was really nice.
