Despite the almost empty space, she sat at the round table at the entrance near the bar instead of at the window. Then the service was strange. Not bad, but there was hardly any eye contact and very little conversation. “Do you know what you want?” My daughter wore a birthday crown and her waiter could not say Happy Birthday or acknowledge the special event, although it was noticed. The staff who served the table did not seem to work. I had a good service before, so it was a pretty disappointment. For management information this occurred on Saturday 3/11/23 at 6:30.pm . My daughter didn't have the experience she was hoping for.
The crab bisque is wonderfully rich, add the side salad, the weekend excursion, and you have a perfect brunch.
We like to eat in Bazille before shows in the Orpheum and Golden Gate. You always get the food in time and the service is good. Our waiter was particularly pleasant and focused. We appreciate it being quiet enough to have a conversation.
We went to Bazille on the way to a show. We waited for our food for over an hour, despite three memories of the server, that we had to go for an event. The food was decent, but the stress to wait and have to eat quickly, took all the pleasure from the experience. We made it our show with only 5mn.
We love the food at this restaurant, but the service has been increasingly poor. We had a 5:45 PM reservation in order to not be rushed before attending the theater afterward. After being seated by the hostess waited almost 20 minutes before the waiter even acknowledged our presence, much less asked to take an order. After that, it was an extremely long time before we were brought anything, including opening the wine. They did not bring my wife's appetizer when they brought the other appetizers, in fact 2 of us were two courses into our 5 course meal before my wife's first course, which she had requested to have with our first course, was brought. She had to request it again to be brought. The menu called for five courses with the lobster dinner, and we still had not received the desert course when it was time to leave, when the waiter said that no, you only get four courses. It was clearly labeled as a five course meal, with each course, including the desert, labeled. After we insisted, he only brought one of the two desserts since two of us ordered the five course meal for two. The waiter was friendly, but did not do his job. All of the food was brought by servers, so he had help and still failed. I think that the room was way understaffed. He also did not honor our request to be finished by a certain time in order to make the theater. We had allowed an hour and a half plus in the restaurant, but the initial delay and many subsequent delays made us unable unable to finish our meal, Even though the waiter assured us at the outset that we'd have plenty of time and that he would honor our departure time. None of that was true based on bad service.
