Blue Barn Polk St. - San Francisco

Only been here once, but the reviews are spot on. This place rocks! Great food. Excellent vibe. Nourishing delicious food that is well prepared. I had tortilla soup and fries. Soup was outstanding and the fries were perfect. Can’t wait to come back!

Caswall Creamspreader call me from his shop, The Torpedo Alley and asked if I would stop by and lend a hand installing a new Davenshafter on the Wienerbacker in his backroom, well, I told him I 'm not familiar with that aperatice, but I 'll come by and help. Then he tells me Hey since your comings over can you stop at the Blue Barn and grab us a couple of sandwiches....and I 'll owe you The Blue Barn makes the best sandos in the city. 5 stars

Salad dressing on Polk was substandard to same on Steiner (too oily, lacks flavor, not blended). No forks or napkins with our take-up salads on Polk, opposite from service on Steiner. Only go to Steiner Street one.

It's a nice place to sit and have lunch! The food is pretty good I normally get the buffalo chicken sandwich. I would probably go there more but it is very expensive. The food is good but over $20 for a single sandwich? At least give me a side of chips? There are other choices nearby that are much cheaper and I would say on par quality-wise. But if you need a quick, good meal and want to have a nice place to visit with a friend or zone out this is a good place on Polk for that.
