Cafe La Vie - San Francisco

Charming neighborhood café with an artistic atmosphere. The breakfast bagels are reasonably priced, and the staff is excellent.

The restaurant has a laid-back vibe and is pet-friendly. It's enjoyable all year round, but it's especially nice for finding some shade on a hot summer day thanks to the lovely trees in front. The coffee is decent, although it can vary depending on who brews it. The owner and head barista is absolutely adorable!

I believe this café serves better coffee than the one across the street, just to point that out! The woman who usually works there is incredibly friendly and amusing. One of my favorite things about this café is that they offer vegan cookies—they have the largest variety of vegan cookies I’ve ever seen! If you're in the mood for something delicious, you should definitely try their sea salt Nutella latte. You won't be disappointed!

Always wonderful staff/baristas and good coffee too... not weak, but not too strong either (though you can order shots of espresso if you like it strong! Not too much seating inside, and there's inevitably some schmuck taking up the 8 person table in the back with their laptop. Nice, large bench seating outside that wrap around the old trees in this neighborhood. Bagel sandwiches ahr ta die fahr!! Oh, and the bathroom is covered in blackboard with chalk available... Always wonderful messages left by guests :

Only place I've seen serve $2 black coffees around. But I got the London Fog which now my favorite way to order tea. Nice little spot with WiFi and outlets as well. Would go by again.
