This French restaurant is refreshingly unpretentious. The escargot was a decent appetizer. The scallops with lobster risotto were excellent. The bread and butter were standard and somewhat bland. The service was attentive. While the atmosphere is not as cozy as a place like Chapeau, it still has a charming neighborhood vibe. Overall, it made for a lovely birthday dinner!
It's advisable to make a reservation, as the place tends to fill up quickly. The bar is well-stocked, and while the ambiance is lovely, it can be a bit noisy at times. When it comes to pricing, it’s surprisingly affordable given the high quality of the food. I started my meal with the escargot, followed by the filet mignon, which was incredibly tender—definitely a must-try. To conclude my experience, I indulged in their French toast served with hazelnut ice cream, which I also highly recommend. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience.
Our waiter was quite unpleasant and even had the nerve to run after us as we were leaving to say that we “forgot” to tip him, despite the fact that a 20% service charge was already included. On a positive note, I do recall that the Il Flotante was delicious.
