Darn Good Food - San Francisco

I’ve visited Darn Good Food over a dozen times with colleagues, and it never fails to impress. The salads are enormous, providing more than enough for two meals. My personal favorite is the salmon sandwich. While the salmon portion isn’t always large, it consistently tastes fresh and comes with a small salad and roasted potatoes. We often jokingly call this place DAMN Good Food!

Best deli in the neighborhood! Many people say it's more than just a deli, but let's be honest—it's simply a really great deli. I love eating upstairs; you wouldn't expect such nice seating up there. The prices are reasonable, and the breakfast sandwiches are delicious! There are plenty of options, just like you'd expect from a good deli.

The portions at this restaurant were generous, and the food was prepared to a high standard. Most items were served at a speed that fell between fast food and fine dining, taking about 5 to 10 minutes. The prices were quite reasonable, especially given the lovely decor. The staff was very friendly and assisted me in selecting my dinner choices. I will definitely be back soon!

I love DGF. I come here most days of the week to pick up the most yummy salads in FiDi. They never get old since there are a plethora of organic toppings and super premium meats. While at a premium price, you are never shorted since the salads feel like 3x servings and I always leave full. The owner, Ron, is the nicest and most accommodating man as well. When I have a group out for lunch, he reserves a very large table (12 seats) in the really cool upstairs space. No one else in the downtown area has space like this. I'd recommend this place to anyone who is conscious about the food they take in everyday, but who don't want to put heaps of thought into their choices. Nothing on the menu seems unhealthy.

I go to this restaurant near my office for lunch a fair amount. Plusses: The salads are super healthy light dressing, fresh ingredients, no meat unless you add it. I usually get the fatoush with salmon. There's a decent amount of seating so you can usually find a spot if you want one. It's decently priced, not totally crazy like some salad places It's quick, usually with limited line Minuses: I've never been overly excited about the sides or dessert options this is salad (or sandwich). Period.
