They enjoyed the dosas and uttapam, and were impressed by the cocktails, papadum chutneys, and lamb dishes. The service was excellent, and it was nice to have a conversation without having to shout. Well done, once again!
The food is good. It would be nice if the restaurant allowed for some substitutions. The restaurant is somewhat inflexible with the menu, including the bar. The cocktail menu looks great, but the restaurant is not willing to make certain adjustments, such as making drinks less sweet or more strong. It's perfect for diners who enjoy everything as it is, but not for those with specific dietary needs.
Overall, I was disappointed with the food, value, and service at Dosa. The flavors were average for me, but very disappointing for my family members who love South Indian cuisine more than I do. The service was slow and the waiter seemed confused when taking our order. When our dishes finally arrived, one of them was missing and had to be sent back to the kitchen. Eventually, we were served four vegetarian meatballs in a white sauce with no rice or broth. We will not be returning to Dosa and cannot recommend it.
