Flipper's Gourmet Burgers

Based on the bustling crowd we saw, Flipper’s appears to be the type of brunch spot that every great neighborhood should have. It offers hearty, straightforward food, though the service could use a bit of improvement. We were promptly seated, but after that, the service lagged, particularly when it came to getting coffee refills to help us shake off our hangovers. Overall, this place is ideal for a leisurely brunch on a sunny day, and I would definitely return.

This is my favorite brunch spot in San Francisco, primarily because it's just two blocks from my home. Fortunately, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is lively. I often find myself here after a night of heavy drinking, and their large breakfast plates are just what I need the next morning. The outdoor seating is fantastic on a sunny day, too. Plus, I rarely have to wait more than a few minutes for a table, which is a luxury that many other brunch places in the city can't offer. As for dinner, the food remains tasty, although it can be a bit pricey—like $9 for a fairly basic burger!

I also tried the corned beef sandwich on another visit, and it was impossible to bite into; it was terrible! I think they must have overcooked it in the microwave. The beer was cold, but since I’m not a big beer drinker, I was hoping for better burgers! My husband liked the beer, though! Will I go back? It's hard to say. I've given it three tries and each time I left feeling disappointed about the money spent. As for the staff, there's one larger guy who is always friendly and engages in small talk, which I appreciate, but the other servers can be quite unwelcoming. They just come to your table and stare without saying a word!

I CAME HERE WITH WITH MY WIFE AND IN-LAWS AND ENJOYED A GREAT MEAL .. I HAD A FETTUCCINI ALFREDO $9.00 AND ADDED JUMBO PRAWNS $6.00 HAD A LARGE SALAD BREAD INCLUDED IN THE ABOVE MEAL , AND A COLD DRAFT HEFFIERVISEN WHEAT BEER ON DRAFT $4.00 MY MEAL WAS GREAT . THE BUISNESS LOOKS PLAIN ON THE OUTSIDE BUT HAS GREAT FOOD CAME BACK THE NEXT DAY AND HAD CHICKEN FAHITAS DRAFT BEER AND A LARGE SALAD WITH FRESH WARM BREAD FULL COULDNT EAT ALL OF IT… MY WIFE ORDERED THE MEAT LOAF AND ENDED UP TAKING HOME@ HALF NICE LARGE PROPORTIONS
