Golden Gate Market Deli Liquor

This restaurant is a wonderful spot for a sandwich near the Palace of Fine Arts and the Presidio. However, I am deducting some stars because it is not the most budget-friendly option and the staff can be a bit unfriendly.

This restaurant serves excellent, super delicious and fresh, large sandwiches. I tried the San Francisco sandwich, which had turkey, bacon, pesto, gouda, and remoulade sauce - it was amazing! The quality of the bread really stood out and made a big difference in my opinion. Even though I was initially concerned when I saw my sandwich being put in the oven, I was pleasantly surprised by how it elevated the experience. It was just warmed enough, not toasted like a sub, which paired perfectly with the cold condiments. I will definitely be coming back to try more sandwiches.

I was practically forced by a friend to go by here. He was right. Super tasty sandwiches, friendly staff and even the other customers were extremely courteous. If you haven't had a sandwich here, you've never had a sandwich.

The sandwiches at this restaurant are incredible. I ordered the San Franpsycho plain and the God Father with all the toppings. It can get quite crowded here (but for good reason!), so I recommend placing your order in advance if possible.
