Went for last minute dinner with husband, had never been there but curious as good BBQ is rare in the city. We were not disappointed. The smoked brisket and grilled Hawaiian chicken were superb. The Mac salad side, potato salad and even the Cole slaw, all delish sides. But that brisket…just the right amount of peppery salty bark and fat.
The staff could not have been more accommodating as it was a chilly night and we are still more comfortable eating outside. They were quick to clean and set plug in lights in their covered outdoor area as it was a cold Monday night. The brisket and pulled pork was amazing as well as the sides. We did a combo for our group and added some sides. Plus, the hand pies for dessert were the perfect finish. Thank you
Bc of COVID, windows were open, making it a little chilly during the meal but understood why. Would like the chicken wings with a little more spice and salt for an extra kick. Would also like the ranch dip with more kick or else have a blue cheese dip. Otherwise it was overall delicious.
The staff were welcoming, but the food isn't great. The brisket was fatty, and I didn't like the BBQ sauce. The worst part was that the food came out warm, not hot. Also the portion sizes for the sides aren't equal. The side salad was also soggy. The best part of this peace is the staff.
