For just $10, you can enjoy a delicious braised pork on rice dish that may not be very large, but is truly wonderful. The food is exceptional, receiving a perfect 5 out of 5 rating.
Great spot for scrumptious Taiwanese food! Not too many tables and seemed like takeout was more popular, but I loved the vintage decor. The meat in the ground pork rice bowl was the ideal level of fattiness and tasted amazing all mixed up with the pickles and rice. The beef wrap and popcorn chicken were sooo yummy as well. My roommates really enjoyed the gua baos, and it was great to have the option to get three different kinds. Only minor complaint would be that service was a bit slow, but huge props to the one woman show handling all the tables and takeout/delivery orders!
I came here with my friend on Saturday at around 5pm for dinner. The whole time we ate, we were the only party sitting down, but there were quite a few take out orders. The interior was really cute, with various vintage items and nostalgic decor. The server was also nice and friendly. We ordered the beef wrap, fried pork chop over rice, sweet potato fries, and hot grass jelly. Most of the items were quite solid and tasty, but not amazing. The beef wrap had a crispy and chewy bing and tender beef filling, although the sauce was pretty strong. The pork chop had a fragrant crispy coating and was pretty tender inside. The picked bamboo shoots that came with the dish were yummy as well. The sweet potato fries also weren't bad, but the coating a bit thick for me, like a hard shell. Our favorite was definitely the hot grass jelly. It was warm, comforting, and delicious; not too sweet. The mini tang yuan and taro balls were super chewy and the jelly had great texture as well. I would come back for the hot grass jelly, and to try other items!
I have visited this restaurant several times for boba, snacks, and various dishes. Personally, I think the standout item has been their dumplings! I will definitely be returning soon because they have a wide selection on their menu that I still need to try.
