Super overpriced for the quality and quantity of the food. Weird fusion dishes that honestly didn't make sense. Environment was nice though, and servers were great. If you just want to get drinks by the bay, go for it—the sour drinks are good, but save your money and go somewhere else for a meal that is satisfying and won't break the bank.
It was only okay. I would have preferred to pay double and go to O' 165. We went for the first seating at 6:15 for a 5 course meal. The noise level was so high, but someone must have complained (not my table) that a little over half way through the meal, they turned down the music. Def not a place where you would want to talk to anyone, which is a shame when you get to the $700-800 mark for 3 people (without drinks). You kind of expect a better ambiance. The food was also only okay, not super “clean” flavoring. The sushi appetizer was the best thing on the prix fixe dinner menu because it played with food textures in a beautiful and palate-surprising way. The scallop in potato sauce was a “feel good” appetizer, kind of like how a clam chowder soup might be. For the main, I had Spanish pink octopus which is always delicious, and they paired it with a caper-tasting sauce which was a nice flavor touch. Very rich, and again, not so “clean,” kind of like they had to work hard on it to make it taste so good, vs letting the natural flavors through. I understand the Waygu rice bowl left a lot to be desired because there wasn't much waygu and it was mostly rice. Service started trending downwards after the third plating before the main dish. I was surprised to see the tip was pre-calculated at 20%, but that is okay. I would have tipped more if I enjoyed the meal more. They don't take Apple Pay, so luckily I brought a physical card too. Overall, if you're looking for a little bit more luxury, this isn't it. For the same price, I would go to waterfront, and for double — but to create memories — I would go to O' by Claude letohic on the 5th floor. So swanky, calm, delicious and service oriented. Always feels good when I go there.
The host was very kind and sat my girlfriend and I at a beautiful table with a beautiful view of the pier. Enjoyed leche de tigre which was delicious. The famous pisco sour. Highly recommend giving this establishment a try
The staff was very polite, accommodating and wonderful. They gave us good recommendations and descriptions for understanding the ingredients on the menu. Beautiful views of the bay and lovely decor.
