$5 for this huge and thick meat banh mi is an amazing deal in this economy. The location and the shop look old and sketchy, but the quality and the price was surprisingly good, no wonder this place has a lot of positive reviews. This place is a to-go style, not dine in. They take cash only. They also had other items like sticky rice, cake…
It doesn't get better than this. The crossroad between an excellent sandwich, and a fantastic deal. I almost feel like I'm taking advantage of them. I can't simply put into words how great this place is. A San Franciscan icon. Must visit.
2023 review: I've had food delivered from L G several times, and the sandwiches have gotten much tastier. 2022 review: I had the BBQ Beef and BBQ Chicken Vietnamese sandwiches. The beef sandwich is decent, and I gave it 3.5 stars. The chicken wasn't good dry, not tasty and I gave it 2.5 stars. The bright spot is that the price at $6 per sandwich is slightly below average for San Francisco. My favorite Vietnamese sandwich shop in San Francisco is still TY Sandwich on Mission, and my favorite in the Bay Area is Duc Huong Sandwiches in San Jose (Story Street location).
The bbq pork sandwich was good for the price $5 The owner was really friendly. We'll come back
