Martuni's - San Francisco

Initially, I was a bit unsure about sitting in the piano section since I didn’t recognize any of the theater songs that everyone was singing— and I mean everyone! However, as the night went on, I realized I actually knew more of the songs than I thought. Eventually, I got up and sang one myself! The pianist was incredibly talented, the crowd was very encouraging, and the drinks were pleasantly strong. We had a fantastic time and truly felt like we had a good San Francisco experience.

I had a fun time here with friends on a Friday night. We arrived at 8 pm and getting a table wasn’t an issue. We didn’t sit in the piano room but could hear the music and there were some singers in there! The non flavored Martinis and/or Martunis are really strong for me (and likely for a lot of people) so I opted for a Watermelon Martini and it was great. The manager brought us pineapple juice as chasers for those with regular Martinis to help dilute some of the drinks. Also a fly fell in my drink and they happily replaced it. Great service with a smile and just a good time

An iconic spot in San Francisco, with live music. This place provides the chance to see so many local talents in a very friendly and fun environment. The dirty martini is just simply amazing.

If you’re lucky in life, you find Martuni’s—a haven for those of us longing and looking for the most tender parts of our soul each night that we sit in the back room, gathered around the piano. Martuni’s was my missing piece, and gosh I’m so grateful for it. From the fiercely fabulous staff to the world-class musicians who have changed my life, it’s a special special place. Please treat it with kindness and respect—and tip your pianists!

I had a fantastic time ordering Martinis (I tried the apricot flavor and absolutely loved it) and singing along to the lyrics. It was a delightful night filled with music and laughter. The atmosphere was fun and friendly. The piano player, who I believe was named Joe, was outstanding. This place is truly a hidden gem!
