Nojo Ramen Tavern - San Francisco

The food is fantastic! The chicken is juicy and tender. It’s hard to determine if the broth is rich or just salty, but it definitely tastes delicious. The noodles are spot on as well. Overall, I’d give the food a 10/10. The atmosphere can be a bit chaotic, and the service could use some improvement, but I believe most people come here primarily for the food. I met up with some friends at this restaurant for my first visit to South Carolina, and a friend insisted that I try the ramen. Since my friends are locals, they chose this spot for us. There were four of us, and we had made reservations, so we were seated within ten minutes. Instead of traditional menus, we scanned barcodes to access the menu while dining outside. We took our time placing our orders, and the online ordering process was fast. I appreciated being able to pay for our food as we ordered, which made it convenient since we didn’t have to worry about splitting the bill later. The experience was quite enjoyable!

My friend and I visited this ramen restaurant for the first time because he wanted to give it a try. We waited about 5-10 minutes for a table. They offered both indoor and outdoor seating, but we chose to sit inside since it was quite windy outside. The ordering process was straightforward; we simply scanned a QR code to select our items. We started with a few appetizers: edamame (soybeans seasoned with salt), yuzu miso cucumber, and Nojo fries. Edamame is one of my favorites.

Wow! I am a huge ramen fan and I have to say that their Signature Ramen, Soy Sauce Tori Paitan, is top 3 of all time. Don't make the same mistake I made by ordering anything else. If you're the type to order different items with friends/ significant other so you can try everything, this is NOT the place to do it. I had a great experience when dining here. I was greeted and brought to the table. There is a QR code on the table so that everyone can order on their own with their own credit cards or you can all order at once on your phone. If you are sensitive to spiciness, make sure you put the oil and chili on the side so you can control how spicy you want your meal.
