Sakana - San Francisco

Fantastic Japanese restaurant! The hamachi kama was indulgent, the salmon skin salad was both hearty and refreshing, and the omakase (chef’s selection of sushi) was divine. It was my first time trying raw scallops, and they were so delicious that I can't understand why anyone would want to cook them. I can't wait to return!

This is my second visit after several years, and it’s still a worthwhile experience. It’s more affordable than some of the nearby Japanese restaurants, yet the quality remains excellent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! The sushi, tempura, and sake were outstanding. Chef Vance truly crafted masterpieces! We will definitely be returning!

Loved visiting Sakana and delighting in the exquisite food they have to offer. From the sashimi to the maki rolls they outdid my expectations. Family-friendly, small and cozy space.
