I went with 2 girlfriends. We hadn't seen each other for awhile. Wanted to catch up. The room was so noisy, starting with the music playing, we couldn't hear each other. Doesnt matter if the food was good or not. It wasn't a good dining experience. A waste of $75 per person. Disappointing. Could not recommend and will not go back. Food was good. But black ink pasta was way too spicy.
Good food. Good cocktails. Mediocre service. Good ambiance.
When making a reservation, you cannot specify your seating preference. I booked weeks in advance, but on the day of our reservation, the restaurant informed us we would be seated outside (in late November). Although their outdoor area is covered and has ceiling heaters, they weren't very effective. While we managed to cope, I wish we had received clearer information about our seating situation earlier. There were three of us dining, and we tried a selection of dishes from the menu. Unfortunately, two things were consistent across all the items we sampled: they were all (including the desserts) excessively salty and served lukewarm or cold. Our order included: **Appetizers:** 1. House Focaccia 2. Carne Cruda 3. Mondeghili 4. Prosciutto di Parma **Mains:** 1. Agnolotti del Pin 2. Rotolo **Desserts:** 1. Budino 2. Apple Crostata The bread in the focaccia and the crostini was dry. The meatballs in the mondeghili were light but overly salty. The gnocco fritto served with prosciutto di Parma was somewhat doughy. The sauce for the agnolotti del pin was too watery, failing to cling to the pasta, which was also undercooked. The apple crostata was passable, but both the whipped cream and ice cream had a salty taste, with the ice cream being particularly rich and dense. As for the service, it was chaotic. Our server initially provided excellent explanations of the menu and highlighted popular dishes, but afterwards, we found it difficult to get the staff's attention, whether we needed water refills or the check. They seemed to be rushing, slamming dishes on our table and moving away before we could speak up. I suspect this might have been because we were seated outside, where it was likely more hectic. Overall, we decided to give this restaurant a chance, but it's unlikely we'll return.
Wonderful! Food was great. Lovely menu. Service was kinda weird. Hostess came on strong and then our waiter never checked back in between us ordering our food and getting the back. I enjoyed the setup of the restaurant as well as the overall ambiance. I'll likely be back for the food!
