My friends and I visited Torraku Ramen for dinner on a weekday. The restaurant was not crowded and it seemed like there was only one person working at the front desk and taking orders. Once we were seated, we were able to order and pay individually through their online menu. We ordered a variety of items to share in addition to our individual ramen, including fried shrimp, pork gyoza, chicken karaage, shoyu ramen, and tonkatsu ramen. The staff recommended the tonkatsu ramen over the curry ramen for us since it was our first time there. The chicken karaage was tasty and came with Japanese mayo which complemented it well. The gyoza was decent. However, we were a bit disappointed with the ramen - the broth was flavorful but too watery, and the chashu was very dry.
The Curry Ramen with added spice and extra noodles was probably the best Ramen I've had. The staff was super polite and it had a chill vibe for the atmosphere. I'd be poor if I lived any closer with how much I'd visit. 10/10 would recommend.
Ordered a curry ramen that took more than 45 minutes since entering the store to get to my table. Once it came, the left half of the bowl was curry sauce that was still partially cold, the right half of the bowl was really hot broth. If the kitchen had mixed it together and heated it up, this would have been a 4 star experience (5 star if the wait for food was reasonable). The pork belly was absolutely fantastic though the broth and noodles were pretty standard among well rated ramen places. Service was minimal since ordering was done through a QR code. 16% tip was mandatory so I guess it goes to the kitchen. Maybe it was an off day, willing to go back and change my mind.
I tried ramen for the first time and absolutely enjoyed it! The flavors were rich and delicious. The gentleman who waited on us was very friendly. Thank you!
