I had the cold Shrimp Appetizer that came with a boat load of shrimp and celantro, chopped tomatoes, white onions and was very good and with a bunch of fresh tortilla chips. Then on to fresh shrimp pasta. with a cream sauce, jalapenos, and other ingrediants. It was good. Service was great and I had Pedro and Bryan as my waiter's. Great guy's. Only drawback is that there is "NO Internet/Wi-Fi". Why? Quien Sabe?
Great restaurant. We couldn't decide on a starter, so we took 4 main courses between the two of us. I took the curry shrimp and the coconut shrimp. The curry shrimp was incredible, really tasty and cooked perfectly. The coconut shrimp were really big, and tasted great. The only negative thing I can say is that they were kinda dry. My friend took the fish curry and the shrimp wrapped in bacon. He said both were great. The prices were really good and the service was good too. But then again the restaurant was empty except for us.
Had one of the best meals I've had in Mexico at this restaurant. Really struggled to find somewhere nice to eat whilst in Campeche and gave this restaurant a go even though it looked expensive. Prices were slightly more than I was used to but the quality of food and service was exceptional. The Diablo shrimps were delicious and presented really well. The banana/ice cream/fruit/chocolate desert was simply enormous and delicious too.
Straightforward out door restaurant with seating on the street. The menu isn't extensive and has an emphasis on seafood but we took the burgers and they were great. Everything is very reasonably priced and the young guys waiting on tables are keen to help.
We were in Campeche for a week. Found out about Anchor's 59 by word of mouth and ate there the first night. Liked it so much we went back two more times.
