Casa Alebrije

We had seen this place while wandering around Campeche and decided to check it out. The owners, a husband and wife team, he from Campeche and she from San Juan, PR, are quite friendly and enjoyable to chat with. The husband is a trained chef who worked in Miami at the Fountainbleau. As expected, lunch was very well prepared and quite tasty. A choice of a main includes 3 sides which rotate. For dessert we had the flan homemade by the wife. We generally don't enjoy flan but hers was excellent; the secret was adding more cheese to the recipe!

Was walking the streets looking around and needed a break from the heat and busyness of around the town and walked by this one. It looked clean and peaceful and had a proper coffee machine. The food menu has mexican and regular cafe type foods. Service and Menus in English or Mexican. The veg quesadilla were a nice break for a small meal for what I was after but also had usual meat items also. It was a great start to my day and was able to continue on happily thanks to this find.
