El Sabalo - SAN FRANCISCO DE CAMPECHE

We visited early afternoon, sat right on the water, had a couple of beers and a margarita. We shared shrimp, crab empanadas and an order of the coconut shrimp. Delicious and didn’t have to eat for the rest of the day! Live music also which was awesome!!! We’d go back!

Had an amazing lunch here today with attentive and friendly service, as well as very tasty margaritas! The setting is also excellent. Would definitely come back!

Very nice place, great waiters, a little slowly, very wel served dishes, free apetirzers, But be careful is a jungle out there, just before you get there, in the palapas área, the others staff personel of the restaurant will aproch you to offer a better deal

We wanted a nice dinner on the water. Maybe it was because they needed customers, but they literally stormed our car as we drove into the parking lot. That should have been a warning. A server came to take our order and was chased away by the parking lot guy. You'd think he'd make sure he served us well, but he was terrible. ...probably the worst service we've had in Mexico. The food was mediocre, at best. We had ceviche, which was salty and fish in garlic sauce. Both were disappointing. When we ordered bottled water, it sat on the bar long enough, my husband got up and got it himself!

The staff were initially friendly. They ended up charging me a lot more than what was on the menu. They also gave me incorrect change (to their benefit). The fish was nothing special. Honestly, that whole area seems a little overrated. They're all very aggressive.
