Delicious broth! I can't handle spicy so I got level 1 spicy and 0 numb. It was perfect for me. My friends really enjoyed the level 3 spicy, which was the standard level. If you like Szechuan numbness and spice, this is a great ramen spot. Attentive and friendly staff!
The spice and numbness levels are always fun to play with here. But besides that the noodles are very good by themselves. Rich broth and great overall taste. Definitely a good go to spot
I still can't quite tell the difference between the Tokyo and downtown style noodles. I've gotten both with soup and think that they taste the same. If you get the large, they really do give you a lot of noodles which is terrific but makes the ratio of noodle to soup horrible. At a couple of points, I felt like I was eating the dry noodle/without soup version. I wish there was more soup as it is really tasty and flavorful. Would come again!
Went here for dinner with my boyfriend, I got the downtown without soup lvl 1 spice and he got the original without soup lvl 3 (standard spice). I have a pretty low spice tolerance (i usually order mild at most places) and the lvl 1 was a perfect amount of spicy for flavor without making my tongue so numb i couldn 't enjoy what i was eating, but i may try lvl 2 next time for a good kick. My boyfriend really enjoyed the standard lvl 3 but needed to buy an extra drink (we tried the jasmine tea with foam) about halfway through his meal. In his exact words Its soooo good but my mouth is totally numb The waitress recommended the without soup to really get the flavors of the dish and I 'm appreciative of that recommendation cuz it was delicious!
