Labobatory - San Gabriel

No one answers the phone and online ordering doesn't work either. Phone recording doesn't even tell you they're closed and for how long. Never coming back here again.

LABOBATORY has been on my list for the longest time!! Finally stopped by the other day and tried one of the most popular drink on the menu. It's located in a food plaza so the parking is not too difficult. The ordering system is contactless. There's a touchscreen tablet set up at the front entrance, you customize the drinks and pay. The wait time is short and the staff is friendly and helpful to instruct me how to maneuver the tablet. Here I introduce you this yogurt drink with butterfly flower pea tea!! The yogurt flavor is pretty strong and refreshing, it tastes exactly how I expect it and very satisfying. I love how they layer the drink and it looks almost too pretty to drink. I think it's about time for me visit back soon!! Maybe I will try their milk tea selections with boba next time :

Labobatory is located in a corner in a small plaza, it may be easy to miss if you are not looking for it. Like the name, inside is set up like an actual laboratory. They are known for being innovative with many unique drink choices and funny/interesting names for them. Their jasmine milk tea was decent, but on the more sweeter side while their ABG (Asian Boba Girl) is a Vietnamese coffee with purple cream and honey boba, which was a bit on the stronger side for me since I am not too much of a coffee drinker.

Thought it was funny that the reward for check in was one free nothing. The place wasn't very polished and didn't have milk drinks at the moment cause they didn't have milk. Unfortunate but ended up getting the pink lychee drink which tasted like pink lemonade. They have a bunch of unique flavors which I'd like to try in the future.

Never been a boba fan, until I discovered Labobatory. Not located near me. But I always make the effort to drop in when I'm nearby. Super friendly and helpful staff. Delicious flavors. I usually get a second to-go for enjoying the next day. Personally love the 50-50 bar flavor (original is a popsicle: orange sorbet around vanilla ice cream). Don't see it currently on the menu. Purple Dream is also delish.
