Contribuisci feedbackI visited Sun Nong Dan for the first time recently. My group didn’t order a lot of dishes, but the two we tried were quite tasty. While the service was minimal, we found we didn’t really need much. The restaurant has a large hall-like atmosphere, and it can get quite loud when it’s busy. One downside was that there were a few flies buzzing around our table, which was somewhat annoying.
I hadn't been here since COVID, and wow, it feels great to be back! I absolutely loved the new renovations. The space is bright, clean, and very spacious! I recommend the #3 combination for a variety of flavors, and the #7 Galbi Tang; the beef short ribs were incredibly tender and delicious (it's my new favorite now). I also enjoyed their banchan. Parking can be a bit tricky at times since it's a busy plaza, but the service was friendly and pleasant. I will definitely be returning soon!
You visit this restaurant for a few specific reasons: the galbi jjim, the fact that it's one of the few places open, or both. The galbi jjim, which is Korean braised short ribs, is a substantial dish meant to be shared among 3 to 6 people, depending on your appetite and if you order additional items. The flavors are excellent, with a comforting, home-cooked taste. I appreciate that they serve a delicious almost-pickled onion and jalapeño side dish, which pairs wonderfully with the rich and spicy flavors of the meal. If you come in the evening after the supermarket closes, there's plenty of parking available. However, it can be a bit challenging to find a spot at other times.
Holy hell the galbi jjim is insane. The tta Roh guk bap was so tender and flavorful. I liked that it didn't have noodles- it let the rice soak up all the yumminess!!
I found out about this place a year ago. It's 24 hours. The service is on point. The food comes as quickly as you order it.There are 4x popular dishes that are at a spectacular early bird deal at $11.99 until 10:30am.I've been coming back for many of my family celebrations throughout the year since. I came this morning to celebrate an early Mother's Day brunch with my family. We got here by 10am. Seated right away. Parking is valet for $2. We ordered the following:My favorite!!! #12 Tta Roh Guk Bap Beef Brisket with Dried Cabbage Soup) $11.99 before 10:30am then $15.99 afterwards)My sis got: #11 Sulung Tang Beef Soup) $11.99 before 10:30am then $15.99 afterwards)My parents got: #4 Tong Da Ga Ni Tang Ox Knee Soup) $11.99 before 10:30am then $16.99 afterwards)We are promptly in and out in an hour or less and everyone leaves happy and satiated. Such a deal and LOVE not having to wait for a long line to eat good food on celebratory days like Mother's Day.
