Tay Ho - San Gabriel

Clean takeout only in a small shopping strip. The banh xeo was really good, the sauce, nước Chấm, was actually. There prices were reasonable. Eating there is challenging because they only give you a box so spreading it out to roll it with the lettuce then dip was messy. The accompanying herbs was actually really authentic, là lộc, only the Vietnam we and Japanese would eat.Protip. Eating there is not an option even though they a few stools with wall table but it's actually meant to people waiting to pick up order.

Ordered to-go via Uber Eats. Pho Meat Ball, Com grilled pork, banh cuon set and lap xuong fried rice.Pho soup was a little too salty, but other than that, food was good. Order was on time and the staff in the front was nice and friendly. Inside was modern and clean. Will definitely order again.

While visiting the San Gabriel area, I was craving Vietnamese food for dinner and was so fortunate to discover Tay Ho! This gem was located in a nice little plaza which had plenty of parking in the parking lot in the back.When I walked in, I was impressed by the bright and clean interior. There was a kiosk, which made ordering very easy, and there were comfortable seating options at a long table against the wall.I ordered the:Tay Ho Banh Cuon Set Com Fried ShrimpPandan Vietnamese Iced CoffeeI had never tried Banh Cuon before but was interested in it based on other Yelp reviews and photos. Banh Cuon is a rich, filling entree made with soft rice batter crepes stuffed with ground pork and tender wood ear mushroom. This was absolutely INCREDIBLE, and everything in the set went SO well with it. When you visit, make sure to order this! Definitely a highlight of the experience and I would 100% come back to order this again. I really loved how unique the flavors were here (it tasted different and even better than other Vietnamese restaurants I've tried). I can't believe I hadn't tried this sooner! The Com Fried Shrimp was so flavorful and tasted even more delicious with their AMAZING House Sauce, which was included in the meal. As for the Pandan Vietnamese Iced Coffee, it was an exciting new experience for me to try this. I absolutely adored its flavor! The balance of sweetness was just perfect. I'll have to come back soon to try their Ube Vietnamese Coffee.Tay Ho was such an amazing find with the best food and excellent service. I will definitely be returning soon!

This place is cool! A little hip twist to Vietnamese food without compromising the integrity or taste of traditional Vietnamese food. I like that there's a variety of things for everyone from the different kinds of meats to vegetarian. I like the vegetarian banh cuon they have! Everything is well presented in cute boxes and a reusable cloth bag. My only wish is that there was less waste with the food packaging even though it looks very aesthetic. Service is quick and easy and food comes out pretty fast as well. I like their drinks too!

Banh xeo didn’t have much protein… way too much bean sprout and onion instead. Nice concept with takeout packaging though.
