Another new teahouse in SGV this one replaced Half and Half's San Gabriel location (next to CVS and Tam's Noodle House on San Gabriel and Las Tunas. Parking lot is quite small, but there's almost always parking. The menu had the standard selections, but they also have drinks you'd normally find at HK cafes (red bean ice, milo, Ovaltine, Horlicks, lemon tea, etc. there's also mojitos, fruit teas, smoothies, and food items to come in the near future. Thought the drinks were alright. I tried the boba milk tea with less ice and less sugar tea was already premade, so everything was poured into the container and quickly mixed before being served. Boba was a little on the softer side, but wasn't too bad. Drink did taste slightly watered down and wasn't the best milk tea I've had. For $4.25, price was alright. Also ordered the HK style coffee. The menu says $2.95 for a hot drink, but I actually wasn't asked if I wanted hot or cold I was charged $3.95 automatically and given a cold drink. Because I didn't ask for no ice, I did feel like there was a large amount of ice that was put into the cup. Flavor of the drink wasn't bad though pretty comparable to what you'd find at a HK cafe. I watched him mix the milk tea, coffee, and condensed milk together and seemed fairly easy to do. I don't know if I'd be back to try more drinks maybe I'd go with the fruit teas instead? Interior is nice and there's several tables for customers to sit and chat with friends. My overall rating is probably a 3, but because they just opened and there seems to be only one man running the entire place, I'd round up to 4.
I seen the Me More on SGV Eats Facebook group so I decided to check it out on a Saturday afternoon in late October. The parking lot was kinda busy and found parking on CVS side. It was easy to find between Shinju Sushi and Tasty something. I was nicely greeted by the owner I assume. The menu was easy to read of milk teas, customized teas, smoothies and mojitos teas. I ordered passion fruit lychee jelly drink $4.14 which is a good price. I watched him make the drink with care. The drink was refreshing and tasty. So sad I was only person there. I hope he gets more business. I will definitely go back.
Now becoming a Tasty House
