The portion of fries were disappointingly small. Whilst a bit on the expensive side, it is in a touristy area but the flavours were great. We even got to try some traditional Maltese desserts, fig pastry and date ice cream.
Second time visiting after 11 months… It blew me away again. Not just the food but the hospitality if this place is amazing. Definitely worth a visit. Warm (goat) cheese rabbit stew: meat wasn’t fantastic but the sauce was crack complimentary dessert based on figs
One of those places where the food looks better than it tastes. The antipasti was very dry and looked like it had been flung together without much thought. The pork knuckle was dry and we struggled to eat it (the portions were very generous so no complaints there). The waiter acknowledged this and gave us a round of free shots this was much appreciated and helped the food go down a bit easier!
A local recommend the restaurant that has an authentic vibe. We ordered the fish soup and mussels that was decent. However, the rabbit stew was too salty and the meat was tough; I would not recommend the stew. We saw the server recycled the bread for other customers when the previous customer did not finish their plate of bread. The servers did not observe sanitation standard. I would not return.
A perfect place to eat traditional local food. We ate here 4 times in an 8-day vacation and everything we tried was delicious. The personnel is very friendly and the overall atmosphere is cozy and secure.
