Bill's Cafe - San Jose

The salt was the highlight of my breakfast, although it was very dirty. The pommes were the worst, but the waffle was decent.

I was unimpressed with the food and service at Bill's. I have dined here multiple times and each time the food was not served hot. I had to repeatedly ask my server for my drink. The server only came to my table to take the order and payment. There are other restaurants with better food at a similar price point. The atmosphere is lovely and the restaurant is clean. However, finding parking in the neighborhood can be difficult.

During my visit to the San Jose area, recommended by my son-in-law, I was pleasantly surprised by the fluffy pancakes at this restaurant. I decided to try the strawberry pancakes, which were made by incorporating the fruit into the pancake batter, resulting in a delicious flavor. We received excellent service and, although I forgot our server's name, my son-in-law requested extra crispy hash brown potatoes, which were highly recommended. When our breakfast arrived, we were delighted by the perfectly crispy deep roasted hash brown potatoes. Overall, our experience at Bill's Cafe was fantastic. This Bill's Cafe (big name for a place by the way) is very close to my work. It is easy to reach, there are many free garage parking spaces. Even if it's on a big street, King Road, there's a feeling of calm relaxation.

We got the cinnamon roll french toast and the bills original skillet with the Hawaiian pancake instead of the toast. First thing is that this place gives you what you pay for, it is pricey but they serve good food and large quantities. The skillet was great, it had everything you would want on a skillet, it was savory with good flavor and not too much spice. The pancake paired prefect with the savory skillet, and none of the pancakes flavors were overpowering, might expect for something with banana to be a little too banana. The only downside to the meal was the cinnamon roll, it was dry and reminded me of cinnamon rolls that are brought into the office from time to time.
