Green Lotus - San Jose

The service at this restaurant is good, although there was a slight language barrier. The servers were courteous and quickly corrected a mistake with an order. However, the main reason for the 3-star rating is the poor quality of the food. The red curry was supposed to be spicy but was disappointingly mild and lacking in flavor. It also contained unfamiliar vegetables and fake meat, which was not mentioned on the menu. The sugarcane juice was enjoyable, especially without ice. Overall, the restaurant fell short in terms of food quality, but the service and juice were decent.

Local community, service is worse than being in jail, but that usually means the food is excellent. They only accept cash, which is surprising. The food is top-notch, definitely a 5/5.

This restaurant is a vegan paradise for Asian cuisine. As a vegetarian, it can be challenging to find options for Asian food (besides Indian), but this place is a rare gem. The staff is friendly, service is fast, and the portion sizes are generous. We had our first hot pot experience here and were pleased with it. The mushroom fritters were amazing. This has now become our favorite spot for Asian food, to be honest.

Glad I found this place while in San Jose. Best spring rolls ever! Spicy noodle soup was excellent (not really very spicy though I added some hot sauce). Wish I could have tried more things! Updated from previous review on 2023 05 25

The food is absolutely great, we loved all dishes we ordered. Service is slow, and appetizers came out with main dishes. The restaurant is not fully vegan but vegan dishes are clearly marked. Updated from previous review on 2023-03-27
