We ordered a soup that had two pieces of carrot, two pieces of broccoli and a mountain of noodles, tofu and mock meat.
This is one of our favorite places to eat in San Jose and a great place to go as a group. Everyone we've brought here loved it. The menu can be overwhelming, but in the exciting way of having way more vegan options than normal. Staff is very nice and service is quick. Favorites we order again and again: Banana flower salad Green lotus eggrolls (vegan, amazing crispy things filled with something delicious and soft, served with lettuce leaves and mint to wrap them in, really worth trying) Pho Tofu dumpling soup Highly recommended!
One of the only vegan places offering delivery. Have ordered thai fried rice, green curry, eggplant basil, thai soup, vietnamese soup- all quite tasty!
Yummy food for dad wanting spicy noodles, mom wanting pho, daughter wanting smoothie, and son wanting chicken and rice . Very relaxing environment. Helpful, low key staff.
Green Lotus is a must-try vegetarian/vegan restaurant in San Jose. I decided to visit their second location on Story Avenue, as I had always enjoyed the one on Business Circle. After my experience, I must say that I prefer the other location due to the better service, but the similar menu offerings make up for it. My friends and I shared the following dishes: the crispy oyster mushrooms were a definite favorite, perfect for those who enjoy something deep-fried. I deviated from my usual diet just for these because they were so delicious. Even those who may not typically enjoy mushrooms will change their mind after trying these calamari-like treats. The homemade tamarind sauce that accompanied them was delightful. The claypot pork was a saucy dish that paired well with rice, with an amazing texture that closely resembled real pork. The hot pot sweet and sour set was large and perfect for sharing with 2 or more people. It offered a great variety of mock meats, tofu, and a slightly sweet broth. I was surprised to find that this set had fewer fresh vegetables compared to other hot pot sets like the mushroom set. The lack of vegetables was a bit disappointing considering that it was only $1 more than the other options. The service at Green Lotus was decent, but could have been better. It was hard to get water refills, and the staff rarely checked on us during our meal. Despite this, we managed to enjoy our meal, although with the heat (not spicy) of the dishes, readily available water would have been invaluable.
