L&l Hawaiian Bbq - San Jose

Love love love the chicken katsu and their spam Musubi dish. The service is usually pretty fast, not a big location but I typically can find seating.

Today (August 8) is National Spam Musubi Day, so we decided to visit this location at 1805 E. Capitol Expressway, as it was listed on the LnL App as a participating site. However, when we arrived, the cashier informed us that the manager had decided not to honor the promotion. The cashier said we had to purchase something in order to get the Spam Musubi. We inquired if we could just buy a drink, but the cashier responded, "I don't think so. My manager said we are not doing it. You have to buy a meal." He mentioned that there were other locations participating in the promotion, but we had driven 30 minutes to reach this spot based on the app's information that indicated they were participating as well.

They are not honoring the National Spam Musubi Day deal (8/8), even though their location was included in the promotion! We drove 25 minutes for nothing!

Great place with good food run by a wonderful family. Support local family owned business. Worth a stop by.

Great Hawaiian food in this side of Sj! I love the Loco Moco! Friendly staff! Almost felt like family!
