Mahalo Hawaii Bbq - San Jose

The Kalua Pork has quickly become one of my favorite items on the menu here. It has such a rich and delightful flavor. You definitely have to try it with a Hawaiian Sun Juice; personally, I like the pineapple orange or lychee flavors, but they’re all delicious!

The food is really good, but the grilled spam is served as one large stack instead of the three pieces shown in the picture, accompanied by a generous portion of rice.

The BBQ Combo is consistently amazing. I really enjoy their macaroni salad and always make sure to order extra. Their curry pairs perfectly with any protein choice!

The 35. Hawaiian BBQ Short Ribs had very minimal flavor. the mac salad has no flavor it was straight-up pasta and mayo only, no salt or pepper. The 25. Kalua Pork was mainly cabbage. the 14. Chicken Katsu Musubi saving grace was the sauce that was put on it. wont be ordering from here again.

We had the 6. Low Carb Mini Plate, 27. Fried Shrimp, 16. Portuguese Sausage Musubi, and LOVED it all. Well packed and good portions for the price. The egg was perfectly sunny side up and cooked in the residual heat, BBQ beef, and BBQ chicken were juicy and full of flavors. My partner loved the shrimp. They were fried well, not oily, or overbattered. Mac salad and rice were not dry or stale. How can you go wrong with Musubi sausage was sliced and easy to bite through so no fighting for the Bute and breaking your Musubi.
